Centara Kata Resort, Kata Beach
Very nice place, a lot of activites every day. Nice pool areas and big clean rooms. Staff is very service minded and helpfull. Spa was also nice. Walking to the beach is about 10 minutes but the beach is very nice. Small, clean and cheap food. Kata was a lot smaller than we thougt and not as nice as the beaches/locations out on the islands (Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Channg and others)No restaurants on the beach at night. Ska Bar was very good, in the end of the beach, best food we had and good prices.

This was our second time staying at this fantastic resort. The service, the food and amenities are just TOPS. This is a family resort and unfortunately our first room was very noisy!! The hotel was however very accommodating and understanding and moved us to a more secluded area of the resort. Absolutely loved our stay for the remainder of the period. Congratulations to the management of this hotel - I cannot fault this hotel on anything. Oh and you will struggle to find a better breakfast anywhere in Phuket. Will be going back!!

Wonderful hotel, perfect when you have children. The stuff is always happy and helpful. Good location to Kata center and a 5-10 min walk to the beach. The breakfast is excellent. This is our 4.th time at Centara Kata.

The hotel was great disappointment for the price we paid. Centara should do some investment and refurbishing when they buy hotels from others, not only put the logo and sell it as a brand name.
We opted for it as it was advertized with kids club - it is one open space room that was all the time occupied by private sessions by TUI and their customers who stay in this hotel. It was only open from 11am to 3pm - the hottest time in the day and when my kid was taking a rest in the room. There is one tiny airconditionned room with some toys that he could use and that s it. So kids club is a total scam.
Breakfast boring, every day same and not much of a choice.
Dinner at the restaurant was good, bit pricey but normal for Phuket prices.
Rooms - old and very modest. Bathroom also old. Room service and house keepers - great.
Location - not so great, there are hotels that are in this price range and closer to the beach. So at least Centara should work on the quality and facility improvements for the price they are charging.

Nice Hotel with everything you want. Nice and helpfull staff, always with a smile on their face. Breakfast was perfect. The only thing that we didn´t like was the price on the internet. It should not be lower than halfprice when you take a walk 100 meter from the hotel. But as I said, a very nice and clean hotel.

Very friendly staff hier and high quality service. In the restaurant thai food some time not perfect. Information in hotel about wheather only for Americans in Farenheit, not in international standard in Celsius.Near this hotel restaurant Thai Thai food- be aware dont go- very wild owner, if you say food no good she can send many bad words to you . Is better eat in hotels restaurant.Kata Noi and Kata beach is the most nice beach on the Phuket island.

My family & the family we travelled with had a glorious time! The kids loved the kids club & The Thai people are absolutely beautiful! To stay at Kata was the best decision we made as Patong was too busy & commercial (compared to 20 years ago). Loved our holiday. Our kids have already said they want to go back... until next time... Thank you!
